Goriška is one of the historical regions of Slovenia. It's main headquarters is in Gorizia (Gorica).
Bovec is a town in goriška region. It's situated on the southern slope of Rombon, the highest soška terrace. Another known town in goriška region is allso Kobarid It is known for its turbulent past. Todays area of Kobarid has been inhabited already in Iron period.

Gorenjska region is one of the richest Slovenian parts, with developed turism and handicrafts and is popular among tourists as in summer as in winter.
With immense natural beauty, Bled, together with its surroundings, is ranked among the most beautiful alpine resorts with it's healing climate and thermal lake water. Close to it, there is also Bohinj lake wich is the largest natural permanent lake in Slovenia, measuring 318 ha. It is 4100 m long, 1200 m wide and 45 m deep.

Slovenian Adriatic coast, is long 43,157 m and is the shortest European coast (with the exception of Bosnia and Herzegovina coast). In the north it's borderd on Italy and at the south the river Dragonja makes the border with Croatia.
Karst is a rocky territory where the impact of water on the limestone surface creates a special form, characterized by caves and underground streaming. The word kras stems from the old popular term for a stone and was originally meant rocky landscape. From this title it has developed its own name for the rocky area.

Southeast region is composed of sixteen municipalities. One of them is the municipality dolenjska toplice with the central villagethat has the same name.
In the old town of village dolenjska toplice is baroque style church anna in 1648, which has gothic windows still preserved.

Maribor is the second largest city in Slovenia and the center of the Municipality of Maribor. Maribor is the economic, financial, administrative, educational, cultural and commercial center of north-eastern Slovenia. In the the city there is many types of institutions that are of national importance.
Ptuj is the oldest town in Slovenia. The area of the city was already inhabited in the Younger Stone Age, in antique the military camp developed to tower Poetovio. Medieval Ptuj has developed between the river Drava in the south and Castle hill in the north.

Municipality of Velenje is one of the 11 municipalities in the Republic of Slovenia. Velenje is known for its mining and thermal power Šoštanj. Close to Velenje is also a very interesting castle Velenje, where you can visit museum.
The community of Podčetrtek is situated among viticultural slopes next to the Slovene-Croatian border and along the middle stream of the river Sotla. Across the lowland and hilly slopes there are forests, cultivated agricultural and viticultural estates as well as smaller rural settlements.

POMURSKA REGIJA / POMURSKA REGION
ENG: Pomurje is the province in the northeast of Slovenia, that runs along the river Mura. Area on the left bank of the river is called prekmurje, while right bank of the river is named Štajerska and Prlekije.
Murska sobota is a city situated in the municipality with same name. Murska sobota got the name because sobota means saturday. On saturdays village had many fairs, so people named the willage sobota. Later in the history they merged the name sobota with murska. Word that is similar to the name of river Mura.
